Reviews and Rating:
The Cuisinart DLC-2014N PowerPrep Plus 14-Cup Capacity Food Processor is unlike other food processors that you may have seen. It is really an evolution of the appliance altogether. Instead of the normal rigid look that ruins the decor of your kitchen, this appliance has a smooth round base and a trendy look that will be a welcome addition. It has a large capacity bowl that is perfect for larger families.
The Cuisinart PowerPrep Plus 14 Cup Food Processor really is in a class of its own. The workbowl has an incredibly large 14 cup capacity which can hold about 3 pounds of dough or around 2 pounds of meat. That makes it the perfect choice for the resident home chef of a larger family, or even for small restaurants. This big capacity bowl is larger than pretty much any other mid range consumer processor that I have seen. This is good for a number of reasons, but mostly because you can prepare more food at once and your food will be more evenly mixed up since you’re not separating it into several different batches.
Not only does it have a large workbowl, it uses a direct-drive induction motor to get the blade spinning incredibly fast so your preparation time takes a nose dive. Another feature that helps save prep time is the extra wide feeding tube. Some customers have commented that they enjoy putting whole fruits or vegetables into this large tube. This means less preparation time for you.
The base of the Cuisinart DLC-2014N 14-Cup Capacity Food Processor is a stylish curved design that looks much more modern and trendy than other processors that you have seen. Not only will it look better in your kitchen, but it also makes clean up much easier. The rounded base can be easily wiped off with a wet paper towel. All of the parts of the processor that are detachable are safe to clean in the dishwasher. On the base, you only have to worry about three buttons – on, pulse, and dough. This makes operation a snap. You don’t have to consult the instruction manual every time that you want to use it. Instead, you can just use the three well labeled buttons.
It comes with a wide array of accessories including a the ever-famous PowerPrep dough blade for preparing bread or pizza crust, a few shredding discs, slicing discs, a specially designed S-shaped blade used for mixing as well as a recipe book and instruction manual. The package also includes a 45 minute how-to video that will get you up to speed on using the appliance fast.
As if you’re actually worried about the Cuisinart breaking, it comes with a 10 year warranty on the motor. That gives you plenty of time to decide if the unit works as it is described or not. If you’re cooking for a large family that could benefit from a 14 cup work bowl, why would you choose any other food processor?

“It has flawlessly and effortlessly kneaded pasta dough, mixed a double batch of heavy gingerbread cookie dough, grated Parmesan cheese to a fine powder, rescued slightly lumpy gravy, whisked together cornbread in seconds, and most recently sliced a variety of vegetables for tossed salad for 25 people (which I was requested to bring to a party–I am not a “salad person,” so I was tickled when everyone praised my contribution!). I had never used a food processor for slicing, but it did a beautiful job with bell peppers and cucumbers–artfully thin, but not too fine a cut.”
“This is the third food processor I have owned, and though I mourned the demise of my trusty Panasonic (rated highly by Consumer Reports ten years ago), with this high-end Cuisinart I have “been to Paree” and have no intention of going back to the farm. If you do any industrial-strength cooking, or if you (like me) are sold on using a food processor as a high-powered, self-contained unit for basic mixing duties, this is a wonderful accomplice in your prandial ventures. Bravo Cuisinart!”
“This machine has been a real trooper. The bread recipe I typically make uses approximately 7 cups of flour, producing 3 3/4 lbs. of dough (a maximum of 3 is recommended by the manufacturer). It handles it with apparent ease (although I do have to hold onto the processor to prevent it from moving when it’s fully loaded with dough). I also have been very happy with it for smaller jobs. I would buy another one today.”
“The reason why I needed a new Food Processor is because I had the Cuisinart Blender/Food processor and it was unbearably loud! I made baby food and I had to wait till the baby was asleep in the other side of the house to make it or she would scream in sheer terror from the noise. So I was skeptical in getting another Cuisinart Food processor. What a surprise! this one was bigger, heavier, and a thousand times quieter! It is wonderful. It is strong … almost scary strong.”
